We now have opportunities available for a Fabricator and an additional 15 Welders to join us to manually prepare, weld and hand build prototypes and one-offs from detailed engineering drawings.
Thomas Storey is one of the largest privately owned suppliers of steel fabricated products in the UK. Customers range from multi-national OEMs to small start-ups.Our highly skilled and experienced team have the capability to design, manufacture and finish product as well as adding value to fabrications by assembling, fitting out and packaging. Goods can be delivered JIT using their fleet of HGVs. Our specialism is large batch, volume production, however we have the capability and experience to prototype, produce one-offs and design for manufacture.
We now have opportunities available for a Fabricator and an additional 15 Welders to join us to manually prepare, weld and hand build prototypes and one-offs from detailed engineering drawings.
Candidates for this role must be able to read drawings, measure and mark out, MIG weld, gas cut and drill. Capable of working unsupervised to tight deadlines and able to speak with and meet customers, an understanding (or experience) of CMM measuring equipment and TIG welding skills would be advantageous but not essential for the role.
38 hours per week, 06.00 ? 16.00 or 16.00 ? 02.00 Monday to Thursday, although overtime will be required.
Payment is via piecework, with averages currently of c £10.50 per hour plus shift allowance and attendance bonus.
