Thos. Storey Fabrications have invested in Business Improvement Training (B-IT) NVQ training for numerous employees throughout the whole company. By doing this we hope to not only achieve complete optimisation of our underlying processes, but a consistent and more efficient way of working.
Thos. Storey believes that the B-IT NVQ 2 course will aid our employees in helping the company to offer a better overall service to our customers by using a range of methodologies that cover various aspects of the work day. Which would include,
· Team working and identifying team approaches
· Health and Safety that includes identifying and eliminating risk
· Organisation and Part selection
· Problem solving,
· Process analysis and adjustments
· Visual management.
Once the qualification has been achieved the members of staff who have undertaken the course will be able to identify and implement various business improvement techniques that include eliminating waste, improving costs and boosting productivity.
It is planned that all those employees who are involved in the B-IT training will carry on to lead improvement projects and assist in engendering a continuous improvement culture. It is vital that everyone looks for opportunities for progress and this is understood to be a company-wide activity.
